Electrify Europe: the quest for answers to the new energy challenges starts in Vienna

Electrify Europe: the quest for answers to the new energy challenges starts in Vienna

From the 19th to the 21st of June the Austrian capital will host the event that picked up the baton from Power-Gen, gathering all professionals engaged in the energy transition currently underway. RSE is a scientific partner to this momentous international scale initiative.

Not a mere change of name, but rather an acknowledgment of the profound transition that is currently underway in the energy sector: a path – still untraced in many respects – that already appears strongly divergent from the models that have been successfully used for over a century.

Electrical energy takes centre stage in this development, that’s why, as of this year, the historic Power-Gen Europe is going to hand over the baton to Electrify Europe.

Not a mere change of name, definitely; indeed, the event’s core was greatly expanded and enriched to include topics that go beyond energy generation alone.

E-mobility, storage, cyber security, digitalization, customer engagement, convergence between and among power generation, distribution and transmission… to name but a few of the challenges/opportunities that will present themselves on the market. All of them are in line with RSE’s research activities of the last few years; RSE, indeed, will be a scientific research partner of Electrify Europe in addition to taking an active part in a number of conferences to be held during the event. Moreover, RSE’s CEO Stefano Besseghini is a member of the event’s organizing committee.

It is, therefore, a precious opportunity to present a rich set of initiatives and collaboration projects between the players of the Italian electrical system revolving around RSE.

Vienna – where the the event will take place from the 19th to the 21st of June – will host more than 12 thousand attendees, 450 exhibitors and 70 working sessions.
