She early focused her interest and effort in the study of phenomena induced by biological organisms on industrial materials, just after the Master Degree in Biology at Univerisità degli Studi di Milano. The development of bio-electrochemical systems, such as microbial fuel cells, the study of microbial corrosion and the water treatments are the main topics of her specific expertise. Her research activities at RSE are mainly conducted in collaboration with Italian and international universities, advising PhD students and Master Theses, and in the framework of European projects.

 

Duties

  • Author of more than 200 publications, including 7 book chapters, more than 50 journal papers/peer reviewed proceedings and more than 100 presentation at international conferences
  • Invited scientist at international Universities for seminars and summer schools (more than 5)
