The report provides a summary of the main results achieved by the Project in the reference period and in the whole three-years research program with respect to the following fields of the bioenergy sector: the biogas-biomethane chain; the combustion of residual biomasses; a biorefining approach to the residual agro-industrial rice husk that leads to the recovery of both a renevable energy carrier (bio-H2) and a bio-product of industrial interest (¿-orizanol); the national waste to energy system.

The Report provides a summary of the main results achieved during the reference period, in continuity or in addition to, those of the previous years covering the following fields of bioenergy: the biogasbiomethane energy chain; the combustion of biomass residues; a biorefining chain for rice husk that leads to the recovery of both a renevable energy carrier (bio-H2) and a bio-product of industrial interest (γ-orizanol); the national waste to energy system. Informations are given about the related European project Amine-impregnated Alumina Solid Sorbent for CO2 Capture (ASC2), and about two other national funded projects (Prometeo Project; Cerbero Project) that RSE partecipates, dealing with aspects more or less similar to that covered by the Project.

The Report then summarizes the three-year course followed by the Project in the development of the above mentioned themes, identifies the final, tecnological and more general, products the Projecs has made avaiable, with an assessment of their positioning and outreach compared to the general status taken as reference by the Project and, mainly , to the guidelines for the bioenery sector outlined by the National Energy Strategy. Finally, it briefly mentions what lines of future reasearch can be identified on the basis of Project’results and other external guidance factors.
